Cat Care After School Care Assistant
Part time employment 2:30-5:30 Mon-Fri on School Days

Supervises: N/A
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Job Goal: Assist in operation of Cat Care Program
Employment Terms: Part Time Hourly

Regular Requirements: Stand for extended periods; walk; twist at the neck and trunk; bend and reach with hands and arms overhead, above shoulder and horizontally; repetitive use of fingers and hands to grasp and/or operate equipment and demonstrate lessons to students; lift/move up to 15 pounds
Occasional Requirements: Lift/move up to 50 pounds
Visual Requirements: Close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, ability to adjust focus
Hearing/Speaking Requirements: Adequate to exchange information
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implements program activities as set forth by the PALS Site Facilitator.
- Works directly with children to meet their needs while participating in daycare program.
- Administers first aide as necessary.
- Maintains a safe, orderly and sanitary environment.
- Designs and implements lesson plans for student activities.
- Prepares and serves snacks; clean-up of area after snack time.
- Cleans student work areas.
- Maintains, secures and stores school equipment at the end of each day.
- Handles simple discipline problems; reports out-of-the ordinary problems to Site Facilitator.
- To ensure continuity of services, remote work may be necessary in the event of a health crisis or disruptive situation that requires the closing of school and/or office buildings. An employee’s eligibility for remote work will be determined by the superintendent of schools. Expectations and guidelines for remote work will be distributed by the employee’s supervisor, based on his/her role and responsibilities.
